The General Court Martial sitting in Makindye has ruled that jailed Boda Boda 2010 patron Abdulah Kitatta together with 9 others have a case to answer for unlawful possession of fire arms and ammunitions.

This is after the army court chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti found that according to the evidence from four prosecution witnesses, the accused persons have to defend themselves on the allegations that were brought against them.

The court has  ruled that having addressed its mind on the law and evidence of the 4 prosecution witnesses, it is satisfied that prosecution has made out a case for which Kitatta should start defending himself on the 7th January 2019.

Those who have been put on defence include Abdullah Kitata, Somali Ngobi, Joel Kibirige, Hassan Mugema and Hassan Ssebatta.

The others are Twinomujuni Amoni, Sekajja Ibrahim and John Ssebandeke.

Meawhile, three suspects have been acquitted because  at the time of the commission of the alleged offences they were not at the crime scene.
