Blood Bank shuns opposition party FDC's blood donation drive
The party had organized the blood donation drive in response to the recent appeal by the national blood bank for more blood. FDC chose to have the exercise on Valentine's Day to save lives as a sign of love for humanity.

The Opposition Forum For Democratic Change party has vowed to mobilize its members to shun blood donation after a team from the Uganda Blood Transfusion Services failed to turn up at a scheduled blood donation drive at the party offices in Kampala.

The party had organized the blood donation drive in response to the recent appeal by the national blood bank for more blood.

FDC chose to have the exercise on Valentine's Day to save lives as a sign of love for humanity.

FDC now wants the Uganda Blood Transfusion Services to apologize for letting them down at the final hour.

There has been no explanation from the Blood Bank.
