UDB gets Shs100 billion for SMEs
The Uganda Development Bank UDB, has received approximately Shs100 Billion line of credit from the Islamic Development Bank and BADEA for on warding lending to Small and Medium Enterprises.

The Uganda Development Bank UDB, has received approximately Shs100 Billion line of credit from the Islamic Development Bank and BADEA for on warding lending to Small and Medium Enterprises.

The deal signed up in Jeddah Saudi Arabia on Thursday afternoon is expected to be directed at SME projects in strategic sectors within the economy, that can stimulate job creation, rise incomes and stimulate growth.

Early this week, government also announced that it would further its capital injection in the State owned  bank by an additional Shs200 Billion in the coming financial year.
